Chapter: 645
He remembered being slapped by Alicia under various circumstances.

Gathering his thoughts, he queried, "How did Yolanda end up hurt?"

Dorian scoffed, "You already know, don't you? Who but Alicia could be responsible?"

“Alicia must have had her reasons," Caden responded.

Dorian perceived Caden's stance as supportive of Alicia.

He didn't want to escalate tensions with Caden, but he couldn't just stand by.

“Regardless of her reasons, it was wrong for Alicia to become physical," Dorian asserted. Dorian loomed over him. "Caden, Alicia acts boldly because she has your backing. I support Yolanda, and I'LL ensure Alicia realizes the consequences of her impulsiveness."

Anger flared in Caden's eyes. "Mr. Moss, overreacting won't serve you well."

Dorian's sneer lingered. "Rest assured, I won't resort to violence against a woman."

After Dorian departed, several bodyguards emerged and obstructed Caden's way.

Despite their size, they posed no challenge for him.

Then Regina appeared.

She waved off the bodyguards and ushered Caden into the living room with graciousness.

Caden held deep respect for his elders, especially for Regina Though not widely known, Caden recognized Regina as the pillar of the Moss family.

Regina was known for her wisdom, perception, humility, and calm demeanor-she alone could moderate Dorian.

She served tea and reassured him softly, “Don't worry. Alicia will be alright."

Caden remained stoic.

“Regina, harm isn't only physical," he said.

Knowing Dorian's character, he doubted that negotiations would be simple for Alicia.

Regina smiled gently. "Caden, it seems you care deeply for Alicia."

Caden responded with ambiguity, "Our relationship is complex."

"I haven't met her, so I can't judge her character, but Yolanda was the one who confronted Alicia today. Their clash probably stemmed from you," Regina noted. She continued, not taking sides, "Yolanda is quick-tempered, and though Alicia's reaction was harsh, I couldn't just overlook it."

Her tone chilled slightly as she disclosed, "That slap caused Yolanda moderate muscle tears and a mild concussion-the most severe injury she's endured in decades."

Caden's brow furrowed.

Regina added, "Even a headstrong person like you would treat Yolanda with courtesy for our sake. She's very important to us."

"Let's be direct, Regina," Caden pressed.

Her expression softened.

"Alicia is resilient. Dorian's efforts are futile. We're reasonable. If Alicia apologizes to Yolanda, we can move past this."

Caden nodded, understanding the expectation set on him to mediate.

The approach he chose could be stern or mild-his choice.
