Chapter: 1776
"Carson, we were just talking about where to eat lunch."

"Hmm?"

With a spark of excitement in her eyes, Libby looked at Rosa and added, "Why don't you join us for lunch? Maya hasn't seen you in a while. I bet she's missed you a lot."

Carson gazed at Rosa once more, searching something from her face.

However, Rosa ceased looking at them. She turned and walked away to Jeanne, confident that Carson would look after Maya. Throughout the entire time, Rosa had no intention of giving him another look.

Carson's eyes grew darker. Did she hate to see him this much?

"Carson?" Observing Carson's silence, Libby couldn't resist but inquire for his opinion.

Carson looked down at Maya and lifted his eyebrows a bit. "Maya, would you like to grab lunch with your dad?"

"I would love that."

"Sure, we can eat lunch together." Carson turned to his assistant and instructed, "Reserve a room at Valmead Club for us."

The assistant regained composure and replied, "Alright."

Standing beside Carson, Libby parted her lips, intending to say something more to him. However, before she could speak anything, Carson set Maya down, took her hand, and led her to Rosa.

Rosa leaned over to talk to the photographer and examined the pictures.

The nearby staff had already identified Carson. When they noticed him approaching, one of them hurried over to him, ready to greet him. "Sir..."

Before the staff member could continue speaking, Carson put his index finger to his lips, signaling for silence.

He held Maya's hand and stood silently behind Rosa and the photographer.

Watching this scene from a distance, Libby clenched her fists, her fingernails pressing into her palms. The slight pain stimulated her nerves.

"See, that's Mr. Scott's daughter, right? She's the spitting image of him.

She's so adorable and lovely!" commented one of the staff, who retrieved the last set of filming attire from the dressing room and walked past Libby.

"Yeah, such a lovely daughter. If I were him, I'd proudly bring her along every single day to show off!"

"I heard the girl's mother is stunningly beautiful too, but I wonder why they can't be together. They even went to court to decide on custody of the child."

"I believe those rumors are just fabrications. Who knows if they're actually true or not? Do you think they appear like a family when they stand together?"

"I believe they make a perfect couple. Are they really going to court and fighting each other? I highly doubt it."

"I'm with you on that. I believe they will end up together. They've already got this child."
