Chapter: 1781
Last night, she was also here in Valmead Club, two floors above where she stood now. She and Carson were alone in a private room. And the scenes from last night kept flashing in her mind.

She and Carson kissed.

Carson was drunk. He pulled her close and repeatedly asked her questions.

Eventually, he kissed her regardless of her resistance.

And she didn't push him away. Instead, she responded to his kiss.

It was as if she had been caught in a whirlpool, and she willingly let herself be swept away.

Those memories were so vivid in Rosa's mind that she felt like she could smell Carson's unique fragrance, with a faint smell of minty tobacco.

Carson didn't smoke much. He would only grab a stick when he craved it, and he would choose a menthol cigarette.

Now, this smell faintly lingered in her nostrils.

"Shouldn't you give me an explanation?" Suddenly, Carson's voice rang out in her ears. "Rosa..."

Rosa suddenly opened her eyes, only to see Carson's sharp-featured face in front of her. His cold eyes were fixed on her face.

His gaze was so intense that she felt he was trying to see right through her.

Since Rosa leaned against the wall, she couldn't dodge him. She clenched her fists tightly and held her breath unconsciously.

"Rosa..."

Before Carson could say anything, Rosa pushed him hard and walked away.

He had finally managed to catch her. Would he let her go just like that? He reached out, grabbed her wrist, and said firmly, "Rosa, what do you mean by this?"

Rosa looked down at her hand held by him. She didn't say anything and just pursed her lips.

"Rosa, don't think that your silence will let you off the hook..."

“What do you want to hear from me?" Rosa interrupted. She knew Carson wouldn't let her go, so there was no use resisting now.

So, she made up her mind. She would face the challenge head-on. She pulled her hand forcefully and turned to face him with a cold expression.

Her calmness annoyed Carson even more.

Rosa left without saying a word. She left him behind, and he was all alone all those years. When she returned, she avoided him. She didn't even give him any explanation. Even when she showed up in the private room last night, she still didn't talk to him.

But why did she make him feel like it was all his fault?

Despite everything that happened, he even shamelessly tried to catch her attention.
