Chapter: 1783
"Good!" Carson could no longer suppress the anger in his heart when he saw that Rosa just remained silent. "Rosa, you are really good."
Rosa raised her head and looked at him.
They used to be together day and night, and she knew Carson well. He wouldn't say such words out of the blue. Also, he was never as simple as the playboy he appeared on the surface.
For some reason, this made her feel uneasy.
“What are you up to?" Rosa looked at Carson warily.
Carson's eyes narrowed. "Why? Are you scared?"
Rosa pressed her lips into a straight line. She didn't say anything. But her eyelashes slightly trembled, showing her uneasiness at the moment.
"Rosa, what are you afraid of? What do you think will I do?" he asked.
Still, Rosa didn't say anything.
Four years ago, Rosa was a very eloquent woman. But now, she was much quieter.
That was because she knew very well that it was her fault that she left Carson without any reason four years ago. She understood if he blamed her.
So, every time she faced him, she felt guilty and didn't argue too much.
She feared she would say something wrong, so she chose to keep silent.
But for Carson, her silence meant something else.
He believed that her silence meant she was protecting Elliott.
And every time he thought of this, he got even more furious.
"Rosa, since you were so afraid that I would deal with Elliott, why didn't you just agree to stay with me four years ago?" Carson pinched Rosa's chin and forced her to look at him. "Is he so good that you'd rather leave me to stay with him?"
Rosa looked away. “What happened between us has nothing to do with him."
"Rosa, do you love him that much?" Carson said word by word through clenched teeth. Every time he thought that Rosa was protecting Elliott, he felt like his heart was being gripped by a giant hand. He wished to cut Elliott into pieces.
Rosa lowered her head. Still, she had no comments.
Carson wanted to force her to say something. But she didn't even want to look at him, which hurt him a lot.
He couldn't help laughing at himself. He was a Scott. Was he really inferior to an actor who only sold his looks in the entertainment industry? Was he really so bad that he didn't even deserve a glance from Rosa?
Carson let go of her. "There's less than half a month left before the court session. Since you love Elliott so much, I'll fulfill your wish. But Maya must stay with me."
“Maya is my daughter..."
