Rachel clenched her fists, the neatly trimmed nails digging into her palms, and closed her eyes. "You're all crazy," she muttered.

Dewey shared a glance with Mason, then chuckled and quietly slipped out of the room, leaving the pair alone.

"Alberto, this project represents the hard work of countless individuals over the last two years," Rachel protested. "You were gambling with the results of two years’ labor of so many people on my decision to provide complete data to Odin. Isn't that insane?"

"Looks like I've won," Alberto responded.

Rachel was overwhelmed with a whirlwind of emotions, her breathing erratic, caught between fury and defeat.
