Chapter: 2132

The elevator beeped as it stopped on the 19th floor where Allen and Rachel stood. Allen walked in first and Rachel followed.

"Which floor is your room on, Miss Davis?" Allen looked over his shoulder and asked.

"The eighth floor."

He nodded and pushed the button labelled "8". The elevator doors closed slowly and the elevator began to descend.

The two were exceptionally quiet on the elevator. Rachel stood behind Allen, her gaze fixed on the floor. She was trying to recall when and where she had met Allen before.
