Averie looked at her. “I can make these often if you want," she offered quietly.

Cathy felt a wave of sadness. “Averie, you're so kind. But I can't make you cook for me all the time. You are not my chef."

Averie bit her Lip. She hadn't realized it until now that she'd always tried to make others happy to get what she needed. Like now, when all she wanted was Cathy's sympathy.
