Averie widened her eyes in disbelief and turned to the man.

"I didn't... I didn't do such a thing! There must be a misunderstanding!"

The man handed her a pen and untied Averie's right hand. "Sign your name and leave your fingerprints here if you admit it." He didn't seem interested in hearing her side of the story.
