Rachel reached for the report, but Alberto was quicker, taking it from Humphrey's hand.

She looked up at him, noting his stern expression. When he turned to her, his eyes captured hers.

Alberto squeezed her other hand gently. “Let's go get your wounds treated."

Stunned for a moment, Rachel quickly nodded. "Okay." She followed Alberto out. As the office door swung shut, she glanced back.
