Chapter: 628
Carson's chest was heaving up and down in an angry way. He couldn't believe it when Ivan told him on the phone that Victor wanted to dig out Rachel's grave. It was utterly ridiculous! He didn't think Victor would do such a thing.
But he underestimated Victor!
Victor was mad! He was digging out Rachel's corpse so he could examine her body
“Can't you just give her peace? Come on, Victor, wake up!" Carson bellowed. He gritted his teeth in anger.
“She is still alive," Victor said calmly, looking Carson in the eye.
Carson was stunned. He then realized what had happened.
"Is it Alice?
Did she say something to you? Rachel is dead, Victor. You can have a look at the ME's report. It's in my car. There was blood was on the knife. The result of the blood test showed it was Rachel's. Why don't you believe the report? Because of Alice? You know what kind of a woman she is. She would say anything you want to hear, just so she could survive!"
Victor's eyes darkened.
That was true, so why was he doubting the report?
Carson had the ME's report for some time now. Victor just never asked him for it because he didn't want to face the fact that Rachel was already dead.
Everyone said that Rachel was dead.
He himself saw her fall into the sea and later saw her lifeless body on the stretcher covered with a white cloth.
What was he expecting?
Victor stared at the coffin behind the tombstone with tearful eyes.
The thought was so painful that he could barely stand. He staggered to his feet as he walked towards the coffin.
Seeing that Victor had calmed down, Carson talked to him in a low voice.
"Victor, you can't open the coffin. You have to show Rachel respect and give her peace."
Looking at the coffin didn't relieve the pain in Victor's heart. He placed his hand on one corner of the coffin.
“Believe me, Victor. I didn't push Rachel! She jumped down herself!
I am telling the truth! Believe me! I was framed! Rachel tried to frame me! She had been planning this all along. I really didn't push her. She jumped down herself."
He could still hear Alice's pleading words in the ward that afternoon.
They were like nightmares that haunted him.
“You can't lock me up forever, Victor."
“If I die, will you let me go?"
