Chapter: 629
“What if I don't want to be with you?"

The words of Rachel and Alice echoed in his ears. It was giving him a splitting headache. Victor slowly clenched his hand that was on the coffin. His eyes were turning red as blood. The atmosphere around him became colder and colder.

After a long time, he gave his orders again.

“Open the coffin!" He punctuated each word with harshness.

"Mr. Sullivan, please don't!"

"Mr. Sullivan!"

"Vic!"

Ivan, Lukas, and Carson widened their eyes on hearing Victor's order.

They wanted to stop him.

Victor straightened his back and then forcefully said, "No one dares to stop me or they will die here!"

Carson's face fell when he heard Victor. He couldn't say a thing.

The coffin was pried open. The nails fell one by one on the ground with crisp sounds.

Victor clenched his hand more tightly as he stood beside the coffin.

"Vic, think of what you're doing. Once the coffin is opened, Rachel will have no peace." Carson grabbed Victor's wrist.

"What you're doing is like killing Rachel again."

It was believed that opening the coffin was a great humiliation to the dead.

How could Victor not know about this?

Victor placed his trembling hands on the wooden coffin. His tears, falling down his cheeks, mixed with rain and smashed into the mud.

All of a sudden, he saw something dark blue on the soil beside the coffin.

A necklace.

It was the Beloved, the necklace that he gave to Rachel. It was buried with her.

Victor squatted down to retrieve the necklace. He wiped it with his sleeve to clean it. It was heart-wrenching to do. He couldn't breathe.

He opened his mouth to ease his breathing. Nonetheless, the pain in his heart remained.

He remembered the time he gave Rachel the necklace.

“You can't take this off without my permission," he said as he clasped the necklace around her neck.
