Chapter: 632
Regardless of how loud she yelled, few people paid attention to her.
The assistant could not help but feel a little angry. She noticed the boy blocking the route from a short distance away.
“Hey! I'm talking to you, little boy! Didn't you hear what I said?
Get out of our path!" she yelled.
It was the first time someone had ventured to speak to him in this manner. The boy's face darkened as he turned to face her.
The assistant was taken aback for no apparent reason as she stared into the tiny boy's eyes.
She had the impression that this young lad was not to be trifled with. But she was trodden on before she could finish her thought.
Her senses were immediately brought back to her by the pain. The combination of pain and irritation exacerbated her misery.
He was only a child. What was it about him that was so terrifying?
"Are you deaf, boy? Step aside! You are standing in our way! Where are your parents? They didn't raise you well, did they? You are so ill-bred!" The assistant was on the verge of yanking the youngster.
The boy dodged quickly.
"Did you put up the place?" His plump face was expressionless as he gazed at the assistant.
The assistant gasped, whose face grew pale.
"Do you think that since I'm a child, you can bully me?" The boy was not enraged, but his statements were direct and to the point.
Susan had observed it as well. When the boy's remarks reached her ears, the corners of her mouth froze for a brief instant.
The press was present. She might be in trouble if they made a big issue out of it.
Susan quickly handed the pen to her agent and walked over, thinking about it. With a polite request for everyone to move aside, she walked over to the boy with a gentle smile.
"Susan..."
“Can you tell me what happened?" Susan inquired, her gaze falling on her assistant.
With a guilty conscience, the assistant looked down.
“Nothing. I just noticed the small boy standing here, and I was frightened that he would get squeezed by the crowd and get hurt, so I urged him to step aside. However, he appeared to believe I was trying to drive him away, so..."
Susan was too preoccupied with media queries just now to hear the exchange between her assistant and the boy. She had a hazy idea of what was going on after hearing the assistant's explanation. She knelt and held the boy's hand while she gazed at him.
"I'm sure she didn't mean it, little boy. She was only trying to protect you from harm; she didn't plan to drive you away. Please accept my apologies for her. Don't become enraged."
As soon as she finished speaking, the reporters in the audience all raised their cameras to capture the moment. They planned to compose a draft after returning, complimenting Susan on her easygoing demeanor.
Fans couldn't stop themselves from sighing.
