Chapter: 667
“So Mr. Sullivan stays in the baby's room because he misses his baby and wife?"

Lukas opened his mouth to say something, but realized he didn't know how to answer Joey. At last, he just laughed and said, "I suppose so."

“That's so strange," Joey muttered almost as if he was talking to himself.

"Why do you say that?" Lukas asked him curiously.

Joey looked up at him and said, "Well, if he misses his baby and wife, he can go find them and bring them back, can't he? Don't you find it strange that he hasn't gone to get them? Instead he stays cooped up in the baby's room."

"He can't find them." A sad smile tugged at the corner of Lukas

'

Lips.

Joey raised his head and looked into Lukas' eyes. He could poignantly feel the pain emanating from Lukas' eyes.

Joey could recognize the look on Lukas’ face. He didn't want to continue the topic.

"Joey, someone can't be found once he leaves. You are still young. But don't worry because you'll understand better when you grow up. Come on, go to bed early. It's late already."

Lukas hurriedly walked out to avoid another round of questions.

“Are they all gone?" Unfortunately, Lukas wasn't fast enough, because

Joey's voice made him stop in his tracks the moment he walked out of the door.

Lukas stopped, but didn't turn. He was caught off guard with that question. Slowly, he turned around and looked at Joey in surprise.

“Mommy once told me that she had a good friend. But Mommy lost her by accident. She said she couldn't find her friend because she was dead and she would never see her again."

Joey looked at Lukas with questioning eyes.

"You said Mr. Sullivan couldn't find them. Are his baby and wife dead just like my mommy's friend?"

Four years had passed already since Rachel died.

In the past four years, everyone had been trying their best to avoid this question, because every time they addressed it, a bloody wound from the past was likely to reopen.

Lukas seemed to see Rachel in Joey for a moment.

"If Miss Bennet didn't die and the child was still alive, he should have been about your age now."

Although Joey had already prepared his mind with the possibility of him being the owner of the baby's room and the crib, hearing those words from Lukas' mouth still shocked him.

Immediately, the picture of Victor smoking alone on the balcony came to his mind and he couldn't shake it off.

Was Victor missing him and Rachel?
