Chapter: 666
“What's wrong?" Lukas turned back around.

Joey pursed his lips, recalling what he had seen when he was standing outside the baby's room. After hesitating for a while, he decided to ask about it, but did so tentatively.

"On my way to the bathroom just now, I saw a dim light in the room next door. I think someone is inside."

Lukas stood there in confusion, thinking about Joey's words. It took him a while to realize the room Joey was talking about.

The silence dragged on long enough, and Joey was tired of waiting.

"What is that room for? It seems different from the other rooms in this house. When I passed by it, the door was not completely closed.

I saw a crib in there."

“Did you clearly see the person in the room?" Lukas finally said something, but it wasn't an answer as Joey had expected.

Joey blinked. Obviously, Lukas wanted to know if Joey had seen Victor in the room. Joey thought for a while, shook his head, and frowned.

“The man was standing on the balcony. He was too far away from me.

Unfortunately, I couldn't see him clearly."

Lukas looked down, as if he was trying to decide the authenticity of

Joey's words.

When Lukas didn't say anything, Joey added, “Do you know who was inside the room?"

Looking into the child's eyes that were as black as grapes, Lukas narrowed his own eyes. Why was he thinking too much? Joey was just a child of three or four years old. There was nothing he could do.

It was mere curiosity.

"Yes, it was Mr. Sullivan,” Lukas finally answered.

"He prepared that room for his child."

With his eyes wide open, Joey asked in confusion, “He has a child?

But I didn't see any child there."

Lukas' eyes darkened with an emotion Joey couldn't describe. He looked down at Joey, reached out his hand and gently stroked his head.

"He used to have a child.”

‘Used to?! Joey clenched his fists unobtrusively, but asked in an innocent tone, "Used to? Where is the child now? Come to think of it,

I haven't seen Mr. Sullivan's wife. Is the baby with his mommy?"

“Yes. They should be together now." Lukas spoke in a low voice.
