Chapter: 813
James' face became pale as if he was as white as a ghost. After a short silence, he abruptly stood up and banged on the table with his hands.

No way!

He couldn't agree to such terms.

James believed he needed an explanation. Why did Victor call off his engagement to Susan? Five years of strategic cooperation? It was nothing compared to what he was going to gain if their marriage pulled through!

"I'm going to the hospital to see Mr. Sullivan," James said.

"I assume you don't agree with the terms listed on that contract."

"How could I? This is ridiculous! It's just...

" James was so furious that his face turned red.

"Since you don't agree with the terms, I'll inform Victor. As for the meeting, I failed to mention that Victor asked me to tell you something before I came here." Carson stood up.

"What?"

“He won't see you. Even if you don't sign this contract, the engagement will still be canceled, and he'll make the announcement to the public in a few days. Nonetheless, your cooperation will come to an end."

After saying that, Carson turned around and was about to leave the room.

Tammy didn't know what was going on between Carson and James. ALL she knew was that Carson was here today to sign a contract with the

Salazar Group on behalf of Victor. This particular contract could determine the growth of the Salazar Group for the next few years; and in doing so, her reputation as Mrs. Salazar would expand, and she would become one of the most enviable and richest ladies in

Apliaria.

When that thought crossed her mind, a smile appeared on Tammy's lips.

ALL of a sudden, the door of the bathroom opened from inside. Upon hearing the sound, Tammy composed herself. She thought that she would see Joey in a different outfit but found that he hadn't changed at all.

“Why didn't you change into the clothes? Are they not a good fit?"

Tammy signaled her subordinate to take the clothes from Joey.

“Yeah, they are a Little small for me," said Joey.

Tammy took the clothes to take a closer look. She had already taken the boy's measurements, and these clothes should be just right for him. She glanced at Joey and saw how cute and pure he was. He didn't seem to be lying. Moreover, if he were lying, it would be easy for her to figure out, considering that he was a child.

With that in mind, Tammy handed the clothes to the subordinate and said, "Put these away for now. I'll buy larger ones for you."

"Thank you," Joey said with a smile. Then, he glanced at the suit casually. In reality, he didn't even try it on.

Tammy had been staring at him from the very beginning. After Carson told them about the boy's identity, James and Tammy saw him in a whole new light. Obviously, they had heard about him from Susan.

Joey wasn't sure what Susan could've told them, and he had no interest in knowing.
