Chapter: 1590
"Then I'm relieved," Norah replied. It seemed Susanna hadn't relayed her message to Sean. "I'm really not in a hurry, Susanna. You'll just have to wait a little longer."

Phillip was frustrated. "Norah, are you serious? I am looking forward to marrying Susanna."

They were planning to get married, but the situation with Sean and Norah made it a complex affair.

Susanna pouted, remained silent, and cast a pleading glance at Norah.

With a twinkle in her eye and laughter in her voice, Norah responded, "I'm serious. Marriage is a commitment that requires thoughtful consideration. Susanna, Phillip, I know you're eager to tie the knot, but take your time."

Sean hadn't even proposed to her yet. How could she possibly agree to marry at this moment? That would be too hasty, something she was not prepared to do.

Having suffered a lot in Sevaedda, Kayla had made peace with these matters. The formalities of marriage were less important to her now; what truly mattered was that the couple was in harmony.

Kayla spoke up. "Well, in that case, we'll discuss their marriage when Norah feels ready."

By now, Norah had become just as dear to Kayla. Kayla wouldn't pressure her into anything she wasn't ready for.

Rodrigo's warm smile graced everyone at the table, enhancing the harmonious family atmosphere that filled the home.

Once dinner was over, the servants quickly cleared the table, and Kayla, unable to wait any longer to hear Norah play the piano, eagerly led her to the music room.

"When Susanna told me, I couldn't believe that you are Nora. Let's go upstairs and play the piano," Kayla urged.

Susanna came along as well, adding, "I only recently learned that Norah is actually Nora. It's been ages since I last heard her play."

Kayla opened the door and flicked on the light. The room was sparse, housing only a piano and a few stools.

Susanna, ever thoughtful, arranged the stools by the piano. "You two take a seat."

The black grand piano, impeccably maintained and spotless, gleamed softly under the light.

As Norah caressed the piano, a rush of memories from her days of amnesia swept over her. Those were simpler times, with Amy by her side. But now, everything changed. Amy was gone forever.

"I can play the piano, but my skills are no match for a master like you, Kayla," Norah admitted.

She had looked into Kayla's background. The awards and accolades Kayla had earned were something only truly gifted pianists could achieve.

Norah, on the other hand, was just a beginner in the world of piano, having gained a bit of international recognition through her own self-taught efforts.

"Norah, don't downplay your skills. I was at the Bellfolk Piano Competition, and your performance was excellent. You just needed a bit more emotion," Kayla assured her.

With that, she took a seat at the piano, opened the lid, placed her hands on the keys, and tested the sound. Soon, her fingers glided across the keys, producing a string of notes.

She was playing Mozart's Piano Sonata in G Major.

The.melody was enchanting, and both Norah and Susanna became lost in the music. It was only when the piece came to an end that =they opened their eyes.
