Chapter: 1596
Kayla burst into laughter, her eyes lighting up. "Oh, Norah, if your calligraphy isn't good enough, then Matteo's must look like scribbles! But there are still a bunch of his pieces hanging all over the house."
She smiled warmly, her voice gentle and full of affection. "It's not about how perfect the calligraphy is. Since they love it, you shouldn't turn them down."
Sean chimed in, agreeing with Kayla, while Norah bit her lip, a flicker of hesitation crossing her face. "Alright then," she said, giving in.
If she had known her calligraphy would end up being treated like this, she would've taken more time and care with it.
After she and Matteo talked about different calligraphy techniques, his excitement grew. He quickly sat down at the table and began practicing, eager to improve.
Rodrigo, surrounded by the buzz of his family, couldn't stop smiling. Being with them pushed away any sense of Loneliness.
By the time Norah decided to leave, it was already late. Sean wanted her to stay, but she thought it wasn't right to spend the night during her first visit to her boyfriend's home and insisted on going.
In the end, she headed back to Dreamview Villas, with Sean following close behind, unwilling to let her leave by herself.
After meeting each other's parents, their connection grew even deeper, and they spent the night making love.
The next morning, Norah woke to find that Sean had already left. She sat on the bed for a moment, still groggy, staring at the empty spot next to her before finally getting up to wash her face.
The investigation documents were ready. After the delay from their trip to Sevaedda, it was time to get back to work.
Norah had spent months pushing through setbacks and challenges, determined to succeed. By the end of that month, she finally secured the management rights to Silver Boulder Private Hospital.
With all the approvals and permits in hand, and after completing the asset transfer, Silver Boulder Private Hospital, now renamed Peace Ark Private Hospital, officially became hers.
Starting a new hospital would take far too long, so Norah decided that buying an established one was the best route.
She carefully examined the hospitals in Glophia, looking closely at their operations, medical facilities, and staffing. After her investigation, Silver Boulder Private Hospital stood out as the best choice.
Now the owner and director of Silver Boulder Private Hospital, Norah oversaw every detail of its operation.
Her first decision was to promote Gil to vice director. At his age, he was no longer suited to lead the Neurosurgery Department; by now, he should have retired long ago.
Gil had always wanted to make a meaningful contribution to his field, which was why he hadn't retired yet. However, the demands of high-stress surgeries were no longer suitable for him, so the role of vice director was a perfect fit.
As the new director, Norah quickly organized a meeting to reassure everyone that, despite the change in leadership, the hospital would continue to run smoothly.
Most of the original staff stayed on, especially those with specialized skills and extensive experience.
After the meeting wrapped up, Gil caught up with Norah in the office. "Is this really what you wanted to pursue?"
He had previously asked if she intended to go back to Silver Boulder Private Hospital, and she had declined. He was caught off guard when she resurfaced as the new director. She had managed to keep her intentions hidden from him all along.
Rising from her seat at the head of the table, Norah walked toward Gil, a warm smile on her face. "Yes, I have countless ideas that I want to implement. As a regular staff member, my hands were tied, but now, as the director, I can make a real difference."
A flicker of determination brightened her eyes. "And congratulations on your new title, Gil."
