Chapter: 1601
The cafe was designed to echo the ancient, medieval era. Luxurious wooden furnishings filled the private room, adding to its grandeur.

The ground floor welcomed casual visitors, while the upper floors provided private rooms for the elite and influential. Its privacy made the cafe a perfect venue for discreet conversations.

Brigid picked up the cup, blew gently on the frothy surface, and took a sip. The coffee was exquisite.

"Miss Wilson, I've gone through the documents, so I know why we're meeting. The medical equipment you want to acquire is available, but some items will need to be imported, which will delay delivery." Brigid set her cup down and dove into business. "We know each other well, so I won't beat around the bush. To ensure profitability, the price for this batch of medical equipment can't go any lower."

She. raised her hand to show a number. "This is the best offer I can make."

Brigid was well aware of why Norah had reached out to her. Jaxson had connected them, and Norah had promptly stepped into her role as a private hospital director.

Whether managing the hospital was just a pastime for her or her actual career was of no concern to the Dixon Group. Brigid's task was simply to facilitate the equipment sale.

"That's very generous of you, Ms. Dixon," Norah responded with a nod. "Actually, that was the exact price I had in mind."

Brigid's sincerity was evident, and Norah appreciated the fairness in her approach. Therefore, she refrained from pushing for a lower price that would strip Brigid of a fair profit.

Norah had done some research on a hacker forum, where she learned that medical equipment generally carried high price tags. Given this context, Brigid's pricing came off as a friendly gesture.

Brigid likely viewed her pricing strategy as a step towards sustainable business relations. After all, a hospital's need for equipment extended well beyond a single transaction.

This was indeed Brigid's perspective. Once Norah assumed leadership of the hospital, she prioritized upgrading the medical equipment rather than reshuffling management or staff.

Investing in medical equipment was crucial for the hospital's operations. Norah's dedication to this cause proved her determination to improve the hospital's facilities.

Building a strong connection with Norah meant that the hospital would keep procuring from the Dixon Group, thus securing a reliable stream of future business.

Furthermore, she had faith in the person Jaxson had recommended and was prepared to offer some flexibility.

"Can I inspect some of the important medical equipment we're purchasing?"

Norah had seen these medical devices in international labs. She could attest that, aside from assembling these units, she had basic knowledge of their functionality.

"Of course." Brigid nodded, and they proceeded to finalize the details of the medical equipment listed for purchase. Their straightforward and honest exchange left both feeling satisfied.

"I didn't expect someone with your background to take on the role of a hospital director. Are you doing this for your track record? With your status, you hardly need to," Brigid remarked.

"What's wrong with being a hospital director? Isn't it a respectable position?" Norah replied with a smile. "For me, managing a hospital is my goal, just as developing the Dixon Group is yours."

In Norah's mind, having a goal was what mattered, regardless of its size.

She had big ambitions and would do everything to achieve them.

Norah was quite pleased with how the conversation had unfolded. During dinner with Sean that evening, she made it a point to commend Brigid.

"Initially, I was concerned that the Dixon family might favor sons over daughters, potentially sidelining Brigid from major business roles. However, after spending time with her, I realized just how capable she truly is."
