Chapter: 1610
Given that Bryson played the role of the hunter, the game went on. Joanna was visibly puzzled as she glanced between Norah and Bryson. She was convinced Norah was the seer, which meant the other must be the werewolf.
There was no longer any reason to have them close their eyes. As just a regular villager, Joanna wouldn't be targeted next; the real tension lay between Norah, claiming to be the seer, and Bryson, claiming to be the hunter, hinging on the upcoming votes.
They =had the freedom to modify the rules since it was a casual game.
Susanna agreed, suggesting, "Let's all speak in turns before voting."
Norah's gaze was intense as she accused, "Bryson, you had Alyssa vouch for your innocence to gain our trust. But now, in these final moments, stop misleading us."
Joanna said emphatically, "Norah has my trust because I'm a villager."
Norah was prepared for this moment. She knew Bryson was the hunter. Voting him out would mean he'd likely take her down with him, potentially handing a win to the villagers with Joanna remaining.
Bryson met Norah's eyes firmly, saying, "I am the hunter."
Alyssa, the real seer, held her hands tightly clenched. She was aware Norah was the actual werewolf, but as an ousted player, she couldn't intervene in the game.
"It's voting time."
Norah swiftly pointed at Bryson, and after a significant hesitation, Joanna also cast her vote against him.
Susanna exhaled deeply and asked, "The hunter has been voted out and can kill one of the two. Who will it be?"
Bryson simply shook his head, choosing to eliminate no one. "Alright, that's it. The werewolves have won."
Upon Susanna revealing that Bryson was the hunter, Joanna quickly deduced the truth. With only three of them left and she herself not being the werewolf, it had to be Norah.
"Joanna, it's all thanks to you that I won." Norah smiled.
Clutching her head, Joanna exclaimed, "Oh, I can't believe I lost! Norah, I trusted you so much. How could you trick me like this?"
Alyssa, who had been observing Bryson, seemed to have a moment of realization.
Susanna then clarified, "The werewolves are Norah and Sean. Phillip is the witch, Bryson the hunter, Alyssa the seer, and Joanna and Duncan the villagers."
Lost in thought, Joanna murmured, "I thought following Norah was the right choice."
Her two pivotal votes had sealed the victory for Norah. Being new to the game, she tended to take everything at face value.
Reflecting on the game's strategy, Susanna said, "Our setup seems flawed. I just looked it up on my phone, and having two’ werewolves, three special roles, and two ordinary villagers isn't good. Let's grab a drink and start over."
The agreed-upon punishment for the losers was that each had to drink a large glass of alcohol.
With a chuckle, Susanna explained to Phillip, "You were targeted by the two werewolves in the first and second rounds. They were determined to vote you out."
Phillip responded helplessly, "I suspected as much. It must have been Sean who was after me."
