Chapter: 1609
Norah followed, stating, "I'm a villager."
Joanna and Duncan, both declaring themselves as villagers, quickly echoed her, as did Bryson. Alyssa, the seer, chose not to reveal her role in the initial round and simply said a few words. Caution marked everyone's demeanor.
Phillip, speaking last, had been observing the subtle cues in everyone's expressions during their turns, but none of them gave anything away.
The first round was marked by caution, with each participant sharing only minimal information.
Susanna then announced, "Now, we vote. If you are uncertain, you may choose to abstain."
The votes were scattered, resulting in a tie between Phillip and Duncan, necessitating further discussion.
Phillip revealed, "I am the witch. Sean, Joanna, and Bryson, you voted against me. Why did you choose to eliminate me?"
Duncan, visibly confused, responded, "I am merely a villager. Why have so many chosen to vote against me?"
Despite his straightforward statement, Duncan remained a figure of suspicion to Norah, Alyssa, and Phillip.
Phillip's defense was heard, and the group decided to vote Duncan out, resulting in his elimination.
Susanna announced, "The one voted out is a villager. The game continues. Everyone, please shut your eyes as night falls."
During the next phase, the werewolves were determined to eliminate Phillip. Meanwhile, the seer confirmed Joanna was not a werewolf. Phillip, who was the witch, had only one poison potion left. He doubted he would make it through another round. Choosing to act, he used the poison on Sean, whom he suspected the most.
Susanna told everyone, "With the dawn, we find two dead." Neither Phillip nor Sean could speak any further.
Norah began the discussion, saying, "I am the seer. I checked Joanna last night; she is not a werewolf."
Joanna responded with a nod, "I accept this good identity."
Bryson said, "The werewolves targeted the witch last night, who in turn poisoned someone. It's uncertain whether the poisoned individual was a werewolf or a villager. Considering we know Phillip was the witch and Duncan a villager, and assuming Sean was also a villager, two werewolves might still be among us."
Pausing for a moment, Bryson continued, "If Sean was actually a werewolf, then one of us four must be the remaining werewolf. Given that Norah claims to be the seer, Joanna is verified, and I am the hunter, only one suspect remains."
He looked pointedly at Alyssa, his suspicion evident.
Alyssa felt uneasy as Norah had falsely claimed the role of seer. If all others were safe, then Norah had to be the werewolf.
"I really am the seer. On the first night, I verified Bryson, and he is safe. The second night, I checked Joanna, who is also safe," Alyssa said, her voice shaking. Bryson had laid out his thoughts clearly, yet she knew Norah, unverified by her, was the actual werewolf.
Pretending to be the seer was a common tactic in Werewolves Of Miller's Hollow, often leading to confusion. Joanna was one of the examples; she had trusted Norah since Norah was the first to declare herself as a villager.
Susanna urged, "Time to vote."
Despite Alyssa's explanation, Bryson cast his vote against her.
"Alyssa is out. Let's proceed with the game," Susanna declared.
