Chapter: 577
Norah checked her phone, and the latest update showed a message from Sean asking when she would head home, just two minutes ago.

“What can he say? I'm just hanging out with friends," Norah said.

She bowed her head to respond to Sean's text. “You might have to wait a little longer. If you're feeling tired, just go ahead and get some sleep."

After that, Norah locked her screen and grabbed the glass in front of her for a sip.

In the midst of the lively atmosphere, Alice had already begun sipping her wine, despite Norah's disapproval.

Even though Alice had been injured in numerous missions before, she would still drink as much as she pleased and never held back.

Norah hadn't anticipated today's events would inadvertently stir up memories of Alice's past sorrows. Seeing Alice drink without holding back, Norah sighed and chose to stay silent.

Norah decided against intervening since Alice was fully aware of her actions.

The chamber boomed with music. Everyone present was enjoying themselves, savoring their drinks, and engaging in cheerful conversation.

It dawned on Bryson that he had never been so close to Nora before.

Under the warm glow of lights, Norah was stunning. Yet, he felt a pang of sorrow since Norah was already Sean's girlfriend.

Although Bryson had known Norah before Kason and Sean, he was stuck in the friend zone. He gulped another glass of wine, drowned in loneliness and self-pity.

"Don't drink too much. You can't take me home if you're drunk,"

Joanna said as she tried to stop Bryson from overindulging.

A bitter smile tugged at the corners of his mouth as Bryson shook his head and remarked, "It's alright. Let's have fun!"

In the chamber, though not talkative, Norah still caught the attention with her undeniable beauty. A part of her face was hidden in the shadow, while the radiant light reflected on the other part, exposing her alluring eyes. A glass of wine was placed on her slender fingers as she took sips occasionally, her elegance palatable.

She was such a beauty.

Spencer sighed, acknowledging his sister was thoroughly outshone by Norah. It was a fact he couldn't deny. Nora had this unique aura.

Like a blooming rose, oblivious of its surroundings, she commanded attention unintentionally.

Spencer hoped his sister would stop crying over Sean's relationship with Norah. He had heard so much of her crying and couldn't bear to hear anymore.

Each time Kaiden laid eyes on Norah, he couldn't help but pity Kason, who seemed to miss out on both the opportune moments and chances to grow closer to Norah.

Joanna was simply delighted that she was out of the hospital temporarily. She was having fun chatting with Alice and Norah.

"It feels so good to be in the open again, exposed to the fresh air instead of the harsh smell of disinfectants," Joanna muttered.

Alice decided to study the language of Cesland. Due to the language barrier, she always reacted belatedly when they talked. That feeling of exclusion was quite uncomfortable.
