Chapter: 112
"Silence! You made a mistake, and I'm here trying to convince Kaitlin!"

Beth shot a stern look at Alan before turning back to Kaitlin, her tone softening. "Kaitlin, I've seen it all. Which man doesn't have an affair? Don't let this upset you. You're the only one I accept as my granddaughter-in-law.""

Despite Beth's seemingly compassionate words, a coldness crept into Kaitlin's heart.

"Grandma, actually Kaitlin is also..."

Alan began, but Kaitlin cut him off before he could reveal her pregnancy.

She quickly accepted Beth's proposal, to Beth's delight.

"Kaitlin, you really are the ideal granddaughter-in-law! I always knew you were kind-hearted and wouldn't resent Alan."

Kaitlin pulled her hand away. "Beth, I need to handle something. I must leave now."

Although Beth was met with a cold response, she didn't show her irritation.

Kaitlin's acceptance was a major concession, and a little distance was understandable.

Alan cast a glance at Beth, then hurried after Kaitlin.

"Why did you just agree to that?" Alan inquired.

Kaitlin's expression remained cold. "Did you want Beth to find out about my pregnancy? She has been dying for a great-grandchild, but I never imagined she'd go this far."

Her eyes, filled with disappointment, shifted towards Alan. “Who knows how our baby will be raised if it is born into this family."

Alan, taken aback, tried to reason with her.

"Look, we can live on our own in the future, away from Grandma's influence. I promise you, our child will grow up happy."

Kaitlin, tired of his promises, which felt hollow, climbed into the car. "Take me to the studio," she said to the driver.

Alan hurried after her. "I'm coming with you."

During the drive, Alan's attempts at making conversation were met with nothing but Kaitlin's cold silence.

Resigned, Alan turned his attention to handling Miguel first.

The scandal involving Lilliana and Miguel made it clear to Alan who was stirring trouble. He planned to turn the situation to his advantage.

Since Lilliana's pregnancy was a fabrication, her deceit would soon come to light, leaving Beth to deal with her.

Meanwhile, after solving the problems in Rozand's subsidiaries, Miguel hurried back to Osewood.

Lilliana had set everything in motion, and Miguel was more than ready to keep the facade going.
