Chapter: 174
Megan was about to speak, but before she could, the manager summoned her to his office.

The walls did Little to muffle the sounds of heated arguments and Megan's ensuing tears, which were clearly heard across the office.

Curious eyes from around the department were frequently cast in Ashley's direction, everyone whispering and wondering about her recent actions and how she had managed to gain such staunch support from their manager.

Ashley was completely indifferent to the surrounding gossip. Her attention was solely on her project.

Successfully finishing it would quietly secure her transfer to the main office.

Miguel's newest business partner, Felix Lowe from the Lowe Group, backed the project.

Ashley didn't have to speculate about Miguel's intentions.

It was obvious he expected her to charm Felix to strengthen their alliance.

Unfazed, Ashley accepted. Her singular focus was to ascend the corporate ladder and improve her lifestyle.

The partnership flourished, and Ashley quickly won Felix's favor.

Within just two weeks, she was transferred to the head office.

On her transfer day, Megan's eyes flashed with envy, and her colleagues were taken aback by the sudden move.

Grinning broadly, Ashley packed her belongings. Before she departed, she took a final jab at Megan. "You'll never grasp the life I lead. Enjoy rotting in here."

To keep his actions under wraps, Miguel had no choice but to assign Ashley the role of secretary at the company's main office.

This position limited her interactions with Alan but allowed her to still collect substantial information.

Meanwhile, Felix invited the Hewitt Group to his party, demanding Ashley's presence.

Alan, frowning, asked Dylan, "Is Ashley the one involved with the Lowe Group project?"

Dylan confirmed, "Yes, she performed quite impressively. She has been relocated to headquarters, serving as a secretary in the Planning Department."

Alan's face clouded over. "Who approved her transfer?"

"You might not recall, Mr. Hewitt, but the policy at the subsidiary allows for promoting one employee to headquarters annually.”

Alan paused before responding, “Keep an eye on her. We can't have her spreading rumors around here."

Dylan nodded in agreement. “Should I let Ashley know about the party?"

“Send her the invitation and make sure she's punctual," Alan instructed, aware that declining Refusing Felix's request could strain their business relationship.

“Understood, Mr. Hewitt," Dylan replied.
