Chapter: 219
Not only did he invite people from Oasis Studio, but also friends from Osewood.

The gathering buzzed with energy, yet Shawn, the host, seemed detached, lounging on a sofa in a private room and slowly sipping champagne.

Kaitlin arrived with Phoebe and Nora, instantly becoming the center of attention.

Some approached Kaitlin, eager to chat, but she kept to herself.

She and Phoebe engaged in light conversation, choosing to stay on the periphery rather than mingle with the main crowd.

Shawn sat at the center of a bustling crowd, drawing all eyes to him.

He took a couple of sips of champagne, then let his gaze drift until it landed on Kaitlin in the corner.

The surrounding chatter began to grate on him, and with a hint of impatience, he edged his way toward Kaitlin.

Shawn's friends watched him, whispering among themselves with raised eyebrows.

“Those ladies over there look familiar. Who are they?"

“They're with Oasis Jewelry, working with Shawn this time."

"Just as partners, or..."

Laughter rippled through the group, and a few more people started to made their way towards Kaitlin.

Spotting the approaching group, Kaitlin stepped up with a friendly smile.

"I founded Oasis Jewelry and am currently in collaboration with Mr. Murphy. I take it you're his friends?"

The group exchanged knowing looks and nodded.

Conversation ensued, light and courteous.

Kaitlin mingled without giving it much thought, sharing friendly banter with the group.

Shawn was seated nearby, mostly silent, his eyes darting around the room, leaving his thoughts a mystery.

Once his friends had mixed and mingled, drifting away, he turned his attention back. "Do you feel comfortable here? Those are my friends," he asked finally.

Kaitlin nodded. “The party tonight is quite the event, just as I'd expect from you."

"If it becomes too loud, you're free to leave early. It seems like you're not much for late nights," Shawn said.

She offered a reassuring smile. "Thanks, but it wouldn't be right to duck out early from your party. It's too impolite.”

Shawn quirked an eyebrow, his voice steady. “It's okay. I'm starting to feel a bit tired myself. Maybe I should drive you home?"
