Chapter: 298
“How long are you staying? Let's have dinner together tonight," she offered.
"Okay," Alan replied with a smile. He glanced at the curious Denton, and his expression grew serious.
After the break, Kaitlin was ready to go to the stage. “Alan, continue with your work. I'll give you a call once I'm finished."
"Alright." Alan nodded and observed Kaitlin as she made her way onto the stage.
He stayed put, keeping his gaze fixed on Kaitlin.
Soon, Ernesto came over. Seeing an opportunity to connect with an influential person, he certainly didn't want to miss out.
"Mr. Hewitt, why not head downstairs for a better view?"
Alan looked at Ernesto and said, "Don't worry about it. I have other things to handle. Please look after Kaitlin here."
"Mr. Hewitt, rest assured. Ms. Gilbert is a specially invited judge. She will be well looked after." Ernesto then pulled out a business card from his pocket and handed it over to Alan. "I hope we might work together in the future."
Alan briefly looked at the card before accepting it. “Alright.”
After escorting Alan out, Ernesto couldn't hide his excitement.
Everyone in Osewood was aware of the relationship between Alan and Kaitlin. Even though Ernesto worked in Estresa, he had heard some news about it.
The latter half of the competition proved even more thrilling, featuring many renowned designers towards the end.
Kaitlin's words remained sharp, and she showed little mercy to these renowned designers.
At that moment, Estresa's latest designer, a winner of an international award and a recent employee of Gilbert Jewelry, took the stage.
“Hello, everyone. I'm Marcia Hanson. Today, I bring you The Secluded Paradise of Fish." The concept of a secluded paradise conjures images of beauty and tranquility, while fish symbolize freedom. True happiness comes only when we transcend the mortal realm."
Kaitlin examined the design on the stage and her brow furrowed slightly.
She revisited Marcia's details and involuntarily glanced toward Denton.
Marcia was his employee.
Dissatisfaction shadowed Denton's face; he was unimpressed with Narcia's presentation.
The inspiration and explanation seemed deep and Longing, but the work itself was nothing exceptional, aside from being overly exaggerated.
It felt like a work for Marcia, meant to showcase her talent.
Denton and Kaitlin exchanged looks. Denton arched an_ eyebrow, indicating a shared sentiment.
"Mr. Gilbert, what is your opinion?" Kaitlin asked.
