Chapter: 339
Watching Shawn's reaction closely, she added, “He's cunning. I believe he's concealing his true capabilities and waiting for the right moment. Since you both want to take Alan down, you might consider an alliance with him."
Shawn mulled this over and scoffed. “Why are you telling me this?" he asked, his gaze piercing.
“I'm eager to destroy Alan. Before coming here, I even went to his office, but he refused to see me!" Ashley exclaimed, her voice tinged with disbelief.
She clenched her teeth. Her jealousy seemed genuine.
"Alan's obsession with Kaitlin blinds him to our past connections. It felt like he was slicing through me with a knife!" Ashley said, her frustration apparent.
Her eyes blazed with fury as she added, “He must pay the price! Uninterested in Ashley's romantic grievances, Shawn cut her off with a wave of his hand. "How do you know Miguel would agree to cooperate with me?" he asked.
Ashley turned, shaking her head. “I don't, but I suspect Miguel needs a partner. After what Alan has put him through, wouldn't he want revenge?" she said confidently.
After expressing her thoughts, Ashley rose to leave. “Mr. Murphy, please take your time to consider. I'll be on my way now," she announced, turning to exit.
“Miss Willis, before you go, there's a piece of information you might find interesting," Shawn called out.
Ashley paused and turned back, her eyes brightening with curiosity.
“What is it?" she asked eagerly.
“While in Estresa, Kaitlin established a rapport with Brooks Jewelry, resulting in a collaborative effort. The CEO of Brooks Jewelry will be in Osewood shortly," Shawn revealed, maintaining a neutral expression.
He paused before continuing, "If you're looking to complicate things for Kaitlin, this partnership might be a good starting point."
A gleam of opportunity flashed in Ashley's eyes, and a sly smile crossed her Lips.
“Brooks Jewelry?" she repeated. "Yes. Rumor has it Kaitlin has been seeing the CEO. It's possible this relationship sparked the recent discord between her and Alan," Shawn explained with a casual shrug.
Ashley's interest peaked. "Really now, Mr. Murphy? Is that your sixth sense speaking?" she teased.
Shawn dismissed the jibe.
"Perhaps now's the time to consider how you might get close to the CEO of Brooks Jewelry," he suggested coolly.
Ashley snorted lightly. “I have my ways," she responded.
With a brief pause, she added, “See you around, Mr. Murphy."
After Ashley left, Shawn leaned back in his chair, murmuring Miguel's name.
Shawn's knowledge of Miguel was limited.
He only knew that Miguel was a disfavored child in his family, and after his accident that left him crippled, he had spent years recuperating in an overseas sanatorium before returning home.
Challenging Alan seemed a fool's errand for such a man. Miguel was clearly overestimating himself.
