Chapter: 342
Only her belly looked bigger than the last time.

"Even if you feel energetic, you can't work all the time. I'll make sure our collaboration goes smoothly and avoid any mishaps," Denton said reassuringly.

Kaitlin nodded, appreciative. “Thank you, Mr. Gilbert."

“Don't mention it. We're friends, after all," Denton responded with a warm smile. "I've just arrived. Will you be treating me to dinner?"

“Absolutely. I've already made arrangements. We'll discuss work first, then dine. How does that sound?" Kaitlin returned his smile.

"Perfect!" Denton agreed.

As their meeting concluded, Denton excused himself to take a call outside.

After she spent some time waiting on the sofa, Kaitlin's expression darkened.

She hadn't anticipated Alan going to such lengths. His sneaky attempt to sabotage her collaboration with Denton was disgraceful.

Lost in thought, Kaitlin was startled when Denton walked back in.

"I'm sorry, Kaitlin, but I can't join you for dinner tonight," he said, offering an apologetic smile. "An important client is leaving Osewood tomorrow, and I need to see them," he explained gently.

Kaitlyn quickly regained her composure and nodded in understanding.

“Of course, we can always have dinner another time. Please, go ahead with your work," she responded graciously.

“Alright, I'm off then. See you later," Denton said before departing.

Kaitlin watched him leave. As she turned around, she saw a familiar car parked at the studio's entrance.

Suddenly, Alan emerged from the back seat and looked her way but made no move to approach.

After days of silent treatment, he seemed ready to make amends.

Kaitlin took a deep breath and stepped forward. "Alan, are you here to check if we and Gilbert Jewelry are still partners?" she asked, her tone edged with a hint of disdain.

Alan seemed taken aback by her pointed tone.

Her reaction suggested things were not as he had expected.

“Why are you silent? Are you embarrassed that I found out about your schemes?" Kaitlin pressed, her gaze sharp.

She kept glaring at Alan, who stood there with his lips sealed.

Receiving no response, Kaitlin continued, "Let me remind you, Alan, that Oasis Studio is an independent entity. It doesn't need to rely on the Hewitt Group."

She paused for emphasis, then added, “It's my business, and you have no right to interfere."
