Chapter: 347
Alan only snapped back to reality when an executive in the meeting called his name twice.

Alan glanced at the presentation on the big screen and quickly shifted back into professional mode, highlighting several areas for improvement.

The others in the room took notes eagerly. Alan checked his watch.

“It looks Like we've nearly finalized everything. We can wrap up for now."

With that, Alan got up and left the meeting room.

Dylan noticed that Alan seemed uneasy. After thinking for a moment, he asked, "Mr. Hewitt, there are no appointments tonight. Are you planning to pick up Ms. Gilbert?"

Normally, if Alan had no plans, he would have Dylan book a restaurant ahead of time.

However, since their argument, there had been no communication between them, something Dylan was well aware of. His suggestion was an attempt to help Alan mend fences.

Alan paused and faced Dylan. "Do you think I was wrong?"

Dylan looked slightly taken aback and offered an awkward smile. "Mr. Hewitt, arguing isn't the end of the world. Sometimes, women appreciate a little persuasion. Perhaps Ms. Gilbert is waiting for you to reach out first."

“Persuade?"

The concept wasn't new to Alan; he had made the first move in the past, and it had proven effective.

But this time, he had tried to be accommodating, yet things hadn't turned out as he had hoped.

“Mr. Hewitt, from what I've seen, giving someone you care about the silent treatment for too long isn't beneficial," Dylan observed.

Dylan continued, "So, it would be best if you reached out to Ms. Gilbert. Just have a nice talk with her, she's not an unreasonable person."

Alan mocked, "She certainly is unreasonable."

Dylan took a deep breath and chose not to respond.

After a moment, Alan walked toward the elevator.

Dylan quietly followed. It wasn't until they reached the lobby that Alan spoke. "Go ahead and book a restaurant."

Dylan nodded. "Okay, Mr. Hewitt. Should I also get some flowers for Ms. Gilbert?"

After speaking, he gestured toward the street across from them.

“There's a flower shop just across the road."

Alan gave a brief nod and climbed into his car.

Dylan quickly crossed the street to the flower shop and returned with a bunch of red roses.
