Chapter: 365
“What do you think? Give it a try," Kaitlyn suggested, handing him a fork.

They settled on the sofa, eating and chatting comfortably.

Alan gradually relaxed. In addition to overseeing the Royal Garden Road project, he had been tasked with rooting out a mole within the company, which had left him rather drained.

"You seem incredibly busy these days. Any troubles?" Kaitlyn said, noting the weariness on Alan's face.

"It's nothing major. It should be resolved soon," Alan assured her calmly.

Serving Kaitlyn a bowl of broth, he added, “Have some. Take good care of yourself, and don't worry about these matters."

Kaitlyn accepted the bowl and nodded. “I just care about you," she murmured.

“How's your collaboration with Denton going? Any issues there?" Alan asked.

Kaitlyn shook her head. "No, it's progressing smoothly. We're planning an exhibition, and once that's done, our partnership should conclude successfully."

Alan glanced up at Kaitlin and said, “Can you promise that you'll not push yourself too hard?"

"Oh, there's no need for concern. Denton is organizing the event. My only job is to show up."

As he heard this, Alan's expression softened. "That's reassuring."

With a helpless smile, Kaitlin observed Alan as he lifted his gaze once more and gently placed his hand on her rounded belly.

“Kaitlin, don't you think it's time you took a break?" Alan asked in a roundabout way. In the past, he would definitely ask Kaitlin to have a rest directly.

Kaitlin responded with a smile, "I understand your concern. Once this collaboration wraps up, I'll hand over my duties at the studio to Phoebe."

A smile spread across Alan's face. "It's good to hear you've got your own strategy. When it's time, you can come to my place, and I'll be there to look after you."

Kaitlin chuckled, "Let's talk about it then."

Alan seemed eager to add more, but Kaitlin gently nudged him. "Time to eat. You still have things to attend to, right?"

Alan was about to answer when a knock interrupted him. "Come in."

Dylan entered and presented a document.

"Mr. Hewitt, the leak concerning the Royal Garden Road project originated from an insider. An employee named Emma Bush was bribed by Murphy Group.”

“Emma Bush?" Alan repeated the name, though he couldn't place it.

“Just a regular employee, right? How could she access such sensitive information? It doesn't make sense."

"But the evidence all points to her."
