Chapter: 370
Kaitlin, intrigued, could this be a surprise?

She opened the door, driven by curiosity.

"Wow!"

Kaitlin was genuinely amazed. The usual guest room had been transformed into a nursery.

The sky-blue walls, decorated with an assortment of charming furnishings and toys, gave the room a cozy atmosphere.

"Did you do all this?" she asked.

Kaitlin ran her hand over a small wardrobe and a child-sized table nearby, perfectly suitable for kids.

Besides a single bed, there was also a crib.

"Yes, I chose everything myself. I've been preparing for a while. If you had decided to move back sooner, you would have discovered it earlier. So, it's not much of a surprise."

Alan's last words carried a tone of arrogance, as though he was implying Kaitlin had been neglecting him.

Kaitlin retorted, “I wouldn't be here if it weren't for my growing belly and the need for some support. Plus, I still have to keep an eye on how you act."

Alan smiled and hugged Kaitlin from behind. "Please, go ahead and check the wardrobe."

Kaitlin opened the wardrobe to find it filled with adorable children's outfits, suitable for both boys and girls. "These are adorable. I can hardly believe we'll soon be dressing our baby in these tiny outfits."

Alan nodded. “It's surprising, but I hear children grow so quickly they might only wear these for a month or two."

Kaitlin turned to look at him, even more astonished. "You know about these things?"

She started to see what Phoebe meant about the radiance of motherhood.

At that moment, not only did Kaitlin radiate a motherly warmth, but Alan also appeared softer.

Life's changes were indeed remarkable.

"I'm the father, after all. I've learned a few things about babies."

Alan's smile widened as he playfully asked, “Kaitlin, don't you think I'll make a good dad?"

Kaitlin hesitated, opting to steer the conversation away instead of answering his question.

"We don't even know if it's a boy or a girl yet. Isn't it a bit early to be getting everything ready?" Kaitlin said.

"I'd be happy either it's a boy or a girl, and it's never too soon to prepare." Alan took her hand, looking at her tenderly. "Thank you, Kaitlin."

“For what?"
