Chapter: 372
Now she was sitting in a chair, looking unwell, and propping her chin up with her hands.

"Miguel, how have you been lately?" Beth glanced at her son, feeling less inclined to meddle in family disputes as she once had.

Being able to spend time with her son was now her main contentment.

"I'm doing well, Mom. How about you?"

“Just the usual. What have you been up to recently?" Beth eyed him with a slightly uneasy look.

Miguel felt a chill and sensed something was amiss. "Mom, I haven't been doing much. Just dealing with an old illness and feeling a bit unwell, so I'm staying home to recover. You don't need to worry about me."

Beth's expression grew serious, and her face darkened.

"Is your old illness acting up again? Have you seen a doctor?"

"Don't worry. I feel much better now."

Beth nodded. Then, the butler arrived, carrying several items for her to inspect.

Miguel's expression turned grim as he looked at the baby clothes that had been brought in. “For whom?" he asked.

"Who else would I prepare these for? They're for my granddaughter-in -law! Kaitlin's baby is almost here, and as her grandmother, it's my duty to prepare something. Miguel, if you have some time, why not deliver these to Kaitlin and Alan yourself? It would be a nice gesture from you as an uncle."

Beth hoped to foster a good relationship between Miguel and Alan, but Miguel just scoffed.

"I would deliver them, but I doubt Alan would want to see me."

Miguel turned his wheelchair, ready to leave.

Beth didn't try to stop him but merely sighed.

The assistant came over to wheel Miguel towards the door.

The butler arrived to bid him farewell, carrying a few things.

Miguel eyed the clothes in the butler's hands and abruptly said, “Hold on a moment."

The assistant stopped, and the butler turned his attention to Miguel.

“Mr. Hewitt, how can I assist you?" the butler asked.

"Those clothes look nice. Let me see them," Miguel responded.

The butler paused briefly, then respectfully handed the clothes to Miguel.

Miguel examined them, his face breaking into a cold smile. "I hadn't realized baby clothes could be so charming. Deliver these to them and give them my regards."
