Chapter: 373
Miguel passed the clothes back and signaled his assistant to continue pushing him away.
The butler, noticing nothing amiss, after seeing Miguel off, packaged the items and sent them to Alan's villa.
In the villa, Kaitlin admired the clothes and smiled.
“Please extend my thanks to Beth for her thoughtfulness."
“I'll make sure she gets your message. And remember, she specifically mentioned that you should take extra care of yourself. She insists on making sure nothing goes wrong," the butler said.
Kaitlin nodded and said, “Please assure her I'm taking very good care of myself."
The butler offered some well-wishes before departing.
Kaitlin preferred to handle the baby's items herself, so she decided to pack them personally.
As she sorted through each piece of baby clothing, her smile grew warmer.
However, her expression turned to shock when she felt something sharp.
What was this?
Kaitlin inspected the collar and discovered a needle!
She was meticulous today and noticed the needle, but what if she hadn't?
Could the baby have been hurt if it had worn this in the future?
It was positioned so dangerously at the collar. If it had pricked the neck or the back of the head...
The more Kaitlin thought about it, the more alarmed she became. She began to meticulously check the rest of the clothes to see if they contained anything similar.
After several inspections, thankfully, it appeared that there was just that one needle in one item of clothing.
Feeling uneasy, Kaitlin set the clothes aside. She no longer wanted to deal with them and went straight upstairs.
The household staff were puzzled. Kaitlin had seemed fine just moments ago; why did her demeanor suddenly change?
They exchanged looks, clueless about the true cause.
They considered approaching Kaitlin to offer comfort but decided against it.
When Alan returned and was informed about the situation, he immediately went upstairs to check on Kaitlin.
“what's wrong? Why didn't you put away the clothes that Grandma sent?"
Kaitlin scoffed, took out the needle, and handed it to Alan. "See for yourself."
