Chapter: 396
“Why all the questions? Just do as I say!" Miguel pressed on, “Make sure Shawn blows this wide open. Alan is ruthless, willing to harm his own uncle for power and gain. But make sure Shawn comes to me directly for the hard evidence!"

With Miguel's intentions clear, Ashley quickly caught on. “Okay, I see."

“Do your best. The moment you finish your job, I'll ensure you get what you desire," Miguel assured her.

After ending the call, a sense of fortunate timing washed over Ashley.

After a moment of thought, she dialed Shawn's assistant directly.

"Please inform Mr. Murphy that I have urgent news regarding Alan. He should meet with me if he's interested."

With that, Ashley hung up the phone.

Ashley had no concerns about Shawn failing to show up.

Once she was ready, she headed to their meeting place.

Shawn arrived shortly after her.

"Mr. Murphy, you've finally arrived," Ashley smiled.

Shawn gave her a brief, chilly look, making it clear he wasn't planning to Linger.

“Enough with the games. Just tell me what you need to say. I'm not here to waste time."

Ashley's welcoming smile stiffened. "Since you're in a rush, I'll get straight to the point. It's clear that Alan orchestrated the incident that tarnished Murphy Group's reputation. Mounting a counterattack won't be hard."

She took a seat, gathering her thoughts.

"Mr. Murphy, Miguel wasn't born with his disability. Do you know the real reason behind it?"

Shawn turned to her. "Wasn't it an accident?"

"Not at all. It was because of Alan."

Interest sparked in Shawn's eyes.

"Go on," he urged.

"Actually, this is confidential information within the Hewitt Group. Very few are aware of it. During the race for the CEO position at Hewitt Group, Alan orchestrated a car accident that left Miguel disabled. Think about it, Mr. Murphy. A man with a disability surely can't lead the Hewitt Group. It's no wonder Miguel harbors such deep resentment toward Alan; he couldn't bring himself to let go."

Shawn mulled this over briefly. Leveraging this information could severely tarnish the reputation of both Alan and the Hewitt Group.

Yet, mere words wouldn't suffice.

“Your claims carry no weight. Do you have any proof?" Shawn asked pointedly.
