Chapter: 415
Since she failed to disclose the truth, Alan decided she no longer belonged at the company, not even at a branch office.

"How could he be so cruel? I need to go back in and talk to Alan directly!" Ashley exclaimed, agitated.

She was determined to seek an explanation.

It was difficult to accept that their past connection meant nothing to him.

Dylan blocked any attempt by Ashley to re-enter Alan's office.

“Miss Willis, you can't go in. It's Mr, Hewitt's order," he said, his expression stern. "You should complete the formalities for your departure immediately."

Ashley's face flushed with mortification, making her appear both embarrassed and absurd.

The secretaries in the nearby office cast discreet glances her way, none showing any sign of surprise at the unfolding events.

Biting back her frustration, Ashley decided she couldn't endure their stares any longer and swiftly exited.

Upon returning to her department, her manager summoned her into his office.

“I've been notified by HR. Ashley, you need to pack up your belongings," he said coldly.

The manager, once courteous, now regarded her with undisguised indifference.

Ashley stood frozen, struggling to come to terms with her sudden downfall.

“What are you waiting for? Clear out your desk for the new hire arriving this afternoon. Hurry up!" the manager exclaimed, clearly impatient.

This only deepened Ashley's humiliation.

“How dare you speak to me that way?" Ashley retorted, her anger flaring.

Alan's dismissiveness was one thing, but to be spoken to so harshly by her own department manager was intolerable.

Unfazed, the manager merely scoffed and slammed his hand on the table.

“Who do you think you are? I used to accommodate you previously because Mr. Hewitt favored you. Now, you're terminated," he responded coldly.

"Ashley, you're of no use to us anymore. Pack your things and leave. You're just wasting time here," the manager hissed.

Anger surged through Ashley, her face turning a deep red. She wanted to protest, but the manager had already turned back to his work.

Feeling ignored, Ashley's frustration deepened.

She slammed the door as she left. After all, she was being fired.

There was no reason to mask her feelings anymore.
