Her colleagues from the department all stared at her. Some of them had already begun to whisper, their words tinged with clear disdain and ridicule.

Although Ashley hadn't been close with her colleagues, her habit of frequently arriving late and leaving early stirred up resentment.

Ashley looked up defiantly and slammed her belongings onto the table.

Then, she swung her hand and slapped the person in front of her.

The slap echoed through the room, leaving everyone in shock.

The one who was slapped snapped back to reality and immediately grabbed Ashley by the hair.

Suddenly, the department was in chaos. Some tried to break up the fight, while others saw a chance to take a swipe at Ashley.

The turmoil lasted for quite some time.

Ashley's hair was disheveled, and her elegant dress was ripped. Her face was red and swollen, and blood dripped from her nose, making her look pitiful.
