Chapter: 51
Kaitlin had prepared thoroughly with Phoebe before this meeting.

She continued, “Firstly, the Hewitt Group must direct thirty percent of its jewelry projects to us."

Alan's face darkened when he heard her initial condition.

"Kaitlin, don't you think you're being a bit unreasonable?" he asked.

"Your job is not to assess my capabilities. A simple yes or no will suffice," Kaitlin responded, her voice steady as she swirled her wine glass, yet never taking a sip.

She had carefully calculated the amount she was asking for. Any higher and Alan wouldn't agree, and Oasis Studio wouldn't be able to manage.

Oasis Studio required steady financial support to maintain its long- term viability.

The sum she proposed was well within Alan's ability to pay.

Eventually, Alan's expression softened, though he didn't give an immediate response.

“What else?" he asked.

"Third, dismiss Lilliana and dismantle Lilliana Jewelry. Ensure she never returns," Kaitlin stated firmly, leaving no space for discussion.

Lilliana had caused her immense suffering over the past three years.

Kaitlin's demands were actually quite moderate, considering everything.

"Alan, these three demands are firm. Do you need time to consider?" she said after a pause in which Alan's look became more intense.

“Kaitlin, over our three-year marriage, how much have you kept from me?" Alan questioned after a moment.

Kaitlin stopped, then scoffed, “Isn't that question a bit absurd, Alan? I've hidden nothing. It's just that you never showed any interest,"

Her laugh was tinged with bitterness. "There's no point in dredging up the past now. So, can you fulfill these demands or not?"

"Is that all you want?" Alan asked.

Kaitlin arched an eyebrow. "Do you think it's too little? I can certainly ask for more if you prefer.”

Alan nonchalantly accepted all three terms, grasping his fork with an air of true intent to dine. "I agree to all three conditions. Now, can we eat?"

Kaitlin was caught off guard. She had braced herself for a verbal skirmish and was surprised by his swift compliance. “Now that we've settled things, I'll get going. Enjoy your meal."

Her objective for the evening was fulfilled, which was all that mattered to her.

Nonetheless, the thought of the meal left a bitter taste in her mouth.

"Wait."
