Chapter: 54
When Three Drops inquired about the validity of the rumors, she merely replied with a helpless emoji.
"You support us being together too?"
“Why wouldn't I? You two make a stunning pair-a handsome man and a gorgeous woman. It's truly a visual treat!"
Kaitlin, however, just shook her head in mild frustration and Logged off the site.
She patted her abdomen, which remained unchanged in appearance.
Although the pregnancy wasn't visible yet, her demanding schedule was starting to wear her down.
Following the success of the jewelry exhibition, Kaitlin planned to leverage the current momentum by organizing several more events to enhance the Oasis Studio's prominence.
With numerous responsibilities demanding her attention, she knew she couldn't afford to let herself collapse under the pressure.
Kaitlin massaged her temples and decided to take a short break on the couch.
Phoebe, aware of her relentless work ethic, had purchased this couch specifically for her-a cozy spot for Kaitlin to rest as needed.
As the night progressed, Kaitlin drifted off to sleep on the couch, unaware.
When she awoke, she noticed a jacket draped over her—apparently Quintin's.
Sitting up, she saw Quintin entering the room, bringing her a cup of warm water.
"If you're feeling tired, why not head home and rest? Don't overdo it," Quintin suggested as he handed her a cup of water. "Here, drink some water."
Kaitlin thanked him and took a sip. The water was unexpectedly sweet.
"I put a little honey in it," he explained. "Your voice has been rough lately."
“It's nothing serious," she assured him. “Just the abrupt change in the weather drying out my throat."
Quintin nodded, then took a seat opposite her. “If you need any help, just let me know. Don't try to do everything on your own; it'll only exhaust you."
Kaitlin started to decline, but Quintin's frown stopped her.
"Don't you trust me?"
"Of course, I trust you," she replied quickly. "It's just that I prefer to be careful. The studio's reputation is on the rise, and I feel more secure handling things myself."
“I get it." Quintin acknowledged. “Don't worry, I'll consult you before making any decisions. Does that help?"
Given his insistence, Kaitlin relented.
She delegated the planning of the next two events to him.
