Alan arrived slightly late and made a beeline for Kaitlin, a smile spreading across his face.

He greeted her warmly. “Kaitlin, what a surprise to see you here.”

“It's just a banquet, Alan. There's nothing surprising about it,"

Kaitlin retorted, giving him a brief look before turning away.

Seizing the opportunity, Phoebe teased Alan, "It's interesting how you've suddenly become so attentive to Kaitlin. It seems like men only start to value things after they're gone."

Alan, far from offended, simply nodded. "You're right, Phoebe. I've made my share of mistakes."

Phoebe stared at him, her eyes wide with surprise. The man standing before her was markedly different from the Alan she had once known.

She nudged Kaitlin and murmured, “Are you sure you don't want to give him another shot?"

Kaitlin shifted the conversation away without answering. "Mr. Streep will be arriving any moment. Let's head over to welcome him."

“Okay, let's go."

Leaving Alan behind, the two women made their way to the entrance.

Soon after, Xavier Streep showed up, a woman accompanying him. Rumors had it she was an international designer and Xavier's protégé, now eager to make her mark in Osewood.

Xavier had attended the event to help his protégé build connections.

Kaitlin and Phoebe walked up to engage in some light conversation. It was clear that Xavier held a prestigious status in the art community, commanding immense respect.

"I've heard quite a bit about Oasis Jewelry. Your reputation certainly speaks for itself. I wouldn't have guessed the founders were so youthful. You both are set for a promising future," Xavier complimented them.

Phoebe blushed slightly at his words. "Thank you, Mr. Streep. But really, it's all Kaitlin's brilliance. I'm just here to help keep things running smoothly."

"Ah, so you must be Kay. I've admired your work; it truly is vibrant and spirited. And this is my apprentice, Yvette, who is also my granddaughter. She's returned to Osewood to pursue her career. I hope you can guide her."

Yvette Streep offered Kaitlin and Phoebe a warm smile. "Hi, I'm Yvette Streep. It's great to meet both of you."

Kaitlin and Phoebe exchanged pleasantries with Yvette.

Yvette offered a professionally polite smile, her eyes hinting at curiosity about Kaitlin. “It's said that Kay enjoys quite the reputation here. I'm truly honored to meet you today.”

“Thank you, that's kind of you to say. I've heard you're quite acclaimed overseas as well," Kaitlin responded.

Their cordial conversation was briefly interrupted as Alan approached.

Yvette's expression brightened instantly, and she greeted him with enthusiasm.

“Ah, you must be Mr. Hewitt. I've heard a great deal about you."
