Chapter: 75
She reached out her hand gracefully, her smile broadening.

Alan, however, chose not to extend his hand in return, merely nodding with a cool demeanor.

Feeling slightly awkward, Yvette withdrew her hand. "I heard that the Hewitt Group is looking for designers. Do you think there might be a place for me?"

Following Lilliana's departure, the Hewitt Group's jewelry division had found itself without a leader, and many of its orders had been scooped up by Oasis Jewelry.

Yvette was confident that her joining could help the Hewitt Group recover these lost orders.

This was her main reason for attending tonight's event-to use her grandfather's influence to meet Alan and secure a job at the Hewitt Group.

However, things were not progressing as she had hoped.

Alan shook his head. "We're moving away from jewelry."

He planned to transfer all related assets to Oasis Jewelry, effectively handing everything to Kaitlin.

Yvette, caught off guard by this revelation, wasn't the only one surprised.

Kaitlin's face also showed a flicker of astonishment.

“Mr. Hewitt, surely you're kidding. The jewelry market is highly lucrative. Wouldn't exiting benefit your competitors?" Yvette said.

Alan shot her an icy look. "That's not your concern."

Yvette was momentarily at a loss for words. Although she knew of Alan's eccentric reputation, his blunt dismissal was something she hadn't anticipated.

She had always been confident in her talents and allure, and no man had ever turned her down before.

Alan was the first to completely ignore her.

This ignited a burning desire in Yvette to conquer him.

If she could make such a man fall for her, it would be a true victory.

Mulling over this, Yvette sipped her wine and edged closer. “Do you think you could spare some time later? I just got back from abroad and don't know much about Osewood. It would be great if you could show me around."

Her lips glowed a fiery red, and her eyes sparkled with allure.

Even Kaitlin, who was nearby, felt overwhelmed by her stunning beauty, and the men were no exception.

Alan did take a brief look at Yvette, one eyebrow raised.

"Could you give me some space? Your perfume is overwhelming."

Yvette's smile stiffened, and her eyes turned cold.
