Chapter: 1051
"Then why do you still chase her?"

“Because it's my choice."

“Why are you being so stubborn?"

“Just let me go, mom. I need to be near her. I can't live without her. If you find this unacceptable, you're free to disown me," Jayson replied.

Jayson's mother was at a loss for words.

Before she could gather her thoughts, Jayson took his Leave.

He wasn't trying to get Bethany to be with him. He just wanted to make sure she was fine.

When he finally arrived at the apartment, he took out his phone to call Bethany, but thought about it and decided to call Aimee instead.

However, he found that her phone was switched off, so he called Bethany.

“Where is Aimee?" he asked.

“She's asleep. She cried, then fell asleep," Bethany answered.

“Why was she crying?"

It then occurred to Bethany that Jayson was not aware of Aimee's breakup.

"She had a fight with Nikolas."

“Open up the door. I'll come up to see her."

Bethany was taken aback by this. "You're at the apartment?" she asked.

“Yes. I want to... I want to see Aimee," Jayson answered.

"Alright then. Come on up. I'll open the door for you," Bethany said.

She couldn't object as she was living in Aimee's apartment and could not ask Jayson not to visit his cousin.

This was, after all, the apartment he bought for Aimee.

Soon, Jayson was upstairs. He had on a black overcoat.

Bethany was left in shock when she saw him.

Jayson... How did he grow so thin?

It had only been half a month since she last saw him. How had he lost so much weight? He looked like a walking skeleton.
