Maybe it was the alcohol clouding her mind or the safe feeling in Jonathan's arms, but she was already asleep before he had a chance to leave the park.

She nestled against him like a sleepy kitten, sinking into a deep, peaceful slumber.

Jonathan was aware she had been trying to make a point, but the truth was, she had drunk too much too quickly. With the park empty and her fourth beer making it hard for her to walk, it was clear she couldn't make it back on her own. Plus, with Aimee talking to Nikolas, Bethany would have had to call Jayson if Jonathan hadn't shown up.

He took her to a nearby hotel and checked them in.

Afterward, he sent a message to Nikolas, telling him to let Aimee know not to worry about Bethany.

As he laid Bethany on the bed, he tried to remove his coat, but she clung to its Lining.

With a sigh, Jonathan stayed wrapped in his coat, holding her close as he settled beside her.

As Jonathan observed Bethany's tranquil sleep, her face calm and gentle, his hand moved almost instinctively to touch her cheek. The question Nikolas had asked him suddenly resurfaced in his thoughts.

“Bethany... Will you marry Jayson?"

Bethany, who was asleep, didn't respond to Jonathan.

However, Jayson must have picked up on something. He quickly sent Bethany a message via WhatsApp.

Her phone began to ring.

"I think I should bring you breakfast tomorrow! If you don't have to make breakfast for Aimee, you can sleep in a bit longer!"

Even Jonathan had to admit that Jayson was very thoughtful. He was offering to bring breakfast. If Bethany accepted, would he start bringing lunch and dinner too?
