Chapter: 1081
At least, Jayson... He truly Loved her.
Aimee doubted the report.
But that wasn't the real issue.
“Even if the child isn't yours, we can't get back together."
Aimee's statement was too firm for debate.
“It's really because I was framed. I've told you, that even if I was drunk, it's impossible for me to forget everything. I would have taken precautions!"
Nikolas was always cautious about his health due to his frequent escapades, thus he was meticulous about using protection.
Aimee scoffed and looked at him coldly, saying, "If you're so sure, why did you accept your role as a father without a DNA test when Siena claimed the child was yours?"
Nikolas found himself speechless.
“In your heart, you were content, perhaps even happy that Siena remained loyal to you all these years, weren't you?"
"No! It's more because..."
“Is it because Siena gave you her first time and she loved you deeply?"
Caught off-guard, Nikolas simply lowered his head.
"As I've said, I'm not interested in competing with any woman. Arguing is just boring." Aimee slowly edged back to a position where she could easily leave. "In that case, I think I'm better off with someone like Zeke. He's right for me. He doesn't have exes, and he won't bring as much drama as you."
Zeke!
This name hit a sore spot for Nikolas.
He looked up sharply and said quietly, “Aimee, you're carrying my child. Yet you're already thinking of another man?"
“Are you certain the baby is yours? When I was with you, it wasn't my first time, unlike with Siena."
"I'm just using Zeke as an example. After what happened last time, of course, I can't be with him! Though I'm not sure yet what kind of man I need, I do know it shouldn't be someone like you!"
She had to worry about the affair of illegitimate children if she were to marry Nikolas in the future. It was annoying to think about it!
“Aimee, you previously said you didn't want to be a stepmother, so I respected that. Now that it's confirmed the child isn't mine, can't you reconsider?"
"No," Aimee said firmly. "It's over between us, Nikolas."
Initially, what bothered Aimee the most was Siena's child.
Had Nikolas not revealed the child's existence on the day she discovered her own pregnancy, she might have reconciled with him.
