Chapter: 1122
"She was just the trigger."

"Aimee, can we stop talking about her?"

Bringing up Siena stirred up too many unpleasant memories for Nikolas.

Aimee bit her Lip but decided not to continue the conversation.

Shortly after, the nutritionist brought a bowl of cereal.

Indeed, she felt extremely hungry with an empty stomach.

However, the moment she began to eat, nausea overwhelmed her again.

As Aimee was about to go to the bathroom, Nikolas suddenly caught her hand. “It's okay. You can throw up wherever you need to. Someone will clean it up!"

"No way!"

She dashed back to the bathroom, leaving the door open in her rush.

Nikolas followed her and gently patted her back, speaking softly. “If you keep struggling like this, you'll be completely exhausted in less than a month."

“What should I do then?"

His lips barely moved, his voice raspy. “Aimee, I... I don't want this child anymore."

Aimee's brow furrowed. "Do you even understand what you're saying?"

"I do." Nikolas approached her and took her hand gently. "I do want a child with you, but I can't stand to see you in pain."

His statement sounded ludicrous.

Yet, the sincerity in his eyes was unmistakable.

"Nikolas, you..." Aimee started, her words faltering.

She opened her mouth but found herself at a loss for words!

The idea seemed extreme. Would someone really consider terminating a pregnancy over a single day of morning sickness?

However, if she weren't confined here, she would not want the child either.

“Will it be painful, the abortion?" Nikolas had no personal experience or knowledge about the procedure.

He was solely focused on Aimee's comfort.

"I've never gone through it, so I can't say," Aimee admitted.
