Chapter: 1126
The mood in the car turned somewhat awkward.

After a few silent minutes, Jonathan spoke again, his voice deep and resolute. "To the hospital."

"Yes, Mr. Bates!"

The following morning, Bethany went straight to the office.

Although this project wasn't the largest for the Bates Group, it held great importance for Team Four and seemed like a golden chance that had come their way.

Managing it well was not an easy task.

Bethany was determined not to let her team down. She resolved to give her all.

Upon arriving at the company, she noticed Colt and Kiley together, both looking rather troubled.

After having a tough conversation with Kiley the day before, Bethany chose to avoid another conflict and opted for a different elevator.

Just as she was about to place her laptop on her desk, Colt came up, holding a breakfast item.

"Ms. Holt, this is for you."

"What?" Bethany responded, slightly baffled, and waved her hand dismissively. "No thank you. I'm not in the mood for breakfast."

She was cautious about accepting any favors from male colleagues, aiming to steer clear of any misunderstandings.

But Colt quickly clarified, "I didn't buy it for you! I just saw you come in and thought I'd bring it over."

"Then who sent it?"

"It's actually from the Bates Group! Mr. Bates noticed how competitive things have gotten here, and how people were skipping meals to work. So, he decided that the company would start providing breakfast, along with lunch and dinner, for those working overtime. It's being sent to every department."

Bethany was surprised by this news.

Colt smiled and said, “Working for the Bates Group is amazing! I'm totally committed to this company. Ms. Holt, I'll just leave your breakfast here. We have a meeting soon, see you there."

“Okay," Bethany replied and nodded.

After Colt left, Bethany looked at the breakfast on her desk.

Was this something Jonathan had started because of her?

Offering breakfast to everyone was a costly affair.

She decided it was best not to dwell on it.

Perhaps it was merely a coincidence.
