Chapter: 165
"Why don't you pass me the bath towel?"

Suddenly, Jonathan's voice broke the silence from behind the bathroom door.

Bethany passed him the bath towel, avoiding eye contact.

She felt the towel leave her hand. As she turned to leave, Jonathan spoke again.

"Is there anything left from last time in your bag?"

"What do you mean?" Bethany replied automatically.

"I remember we didn't use it all during our trip to Brokdon."

Jonathan's tone was casual, as if discussing a routine matter rather than something personal or awkward.

It made Bethany not think about that aspect.

"Are you talking about the SNS project form?" she asked.

"I'm talking about the condom," he said casually.

Immediately, Bethany's face turned bright red.

The air between them grew thick and uncomfortable.

After what felt Like forever, she finally replied, her voice shaky, “I...1 actually disposed of it."

"There should be some in the hotel nightstand," he said, drying off with a towel and walking out of the bathroom, his chest bare.

Bethany heard the drawer open, and then he was back, lifting her effortlessly onto the bed with his strong arms.

For a moment, it felt like time stopped.

Jonathan's kiss was gentle, and he still smelled faintly of soap. His warm hand glided over her skin.

Bethany squinted at the bright light from the ceiling, which felt too harsh. Gripping his shoulders tightly, she asked, her voice shaking, "Can we turn off the Light?"

"sure," he replied.

They had sex for what felt like forever, only stopping when she was completely worn out.

Bethany realized something new.

Even when men were tired, they somehow had the energy for this.

The next morning, the sound of a ringing phone beside her pillow woke her up.
