Jonathan's brow furrowed as he grasped her wrist.
"Your input means everything to me, he emphasized. “Bethany, we're married now."
A genuine partnership, he reflected, meant complete transparency in all actions.
"So should I report every purchase to you?" Bethany teased, implying her reluctance to claim his assets.
"Your spending doesn't need reporting, but meeting male friends requires a heads-up," Jonathan replied, drawing her close and placing a gentle hand on her belly. "I've cleared my calendar, Bethany."
