Bethany felt trapped, her anger rising as she confronted her past.

"How dare you say that? The woman who gave birth to me and raised me is my mom. You never raised me!"

"That's nonsense! Could your mom have brought you into this world alone? Remember this, I'll always be your biological father." Andrew punctuated his words by spitting on the ground. "You ungrateful woman, refusing to acknowledge your own father!"

While Bethany could endure his insults towards her, any slight against her mother ignited her fury.

“Having you as my biological father has been my life's greatest shame! After your affair with Maddie's mother, did you spare even a single thought for me and my mom? As far as I'm concerned, my father died long ago!"
