"Right," Jonathan answered without a hint of hesitation, while looking for a suitable container to mix her drink.

Nikolas grinned. “Well, once you master it, be sure to share some. I want Aimee to try the real thing."

Jonathan shot him a look. “I figured you'd want me to teach you instead."

With a smirk, Nikolas replied, "Truthfully, I like to think of myself as a pretty decent husband. But you, my friend-you're setting the bar so high it's practically untouchable. Sometimes I wonder if Aimee deserves better because of you. Do me a favor, Jonathan-dial down the perfection, would you?"

Jonathan's expression softened. “Bethany's been through a lot because of me. I'm just doing what I can to make it right."
