Chapter: 265
When she reached Brody's office, Bethany knocked on the door.

Upon hearing a reply, she opened the door and entered. "Hi, Brody."

Brody glanced up at her and then gestured towards some papers on his desk. "You can type these into the computer, and then I'll send you the latest updates on the Canbidge project. You can start the investigation this afternoon."

"Okay." Bethany picked up the documents and flipped through them. She then sent a file to Brody from her mobile phone. "This was saved on my computer when I was put on leave. Since I don't have access rights, it stayed on my computer all this time."

"Did you complete all these sections? Really?" Brody was astonished.

He quickly opened the file and checked it. "You've been quite busy during your leave!"

These tasks were supposed to take half a month. Bethany had been temporarily removed from Bates Group for only a short while. How could she have managed so much work?

"I knew I would be back eventually, so I had to keep up with the work. Since I had the time, I decided to get ahead," Bethany explained with a smile.

Brody couldn't help but praise her. “Bethany, I see why Mr. Bates values you."

She took her duties seriously and aimed to excel at her job, a trait not all employees had. Brody understood Bethany's mindset. She feared falling behind if she returned to the company, so she continued working even while away to avoid slowing down the progress upon her return.

Bethany smiled awkwardly. “I really value this job. It's my path to progress."

"You're bound to achieve great things with such dedication," Brody said, nodding approvingly as he handed her a username and password.

This was for the ongoing Canbidge project, which required real-time monitoring and had to be kept confidential.

Bethany hesitated. “Now, given the company's current distrust of me, I don't think I should be handling such sensitive information."

Although Maddie said she leaked the drawings, she made it seem like she was forced. As a result, many people remained doubtful of Bethany's innocence.

The partner companies of Bates Group also doubted her.

Bethany was well aware that the company in Canbidge must have exerted pressure on Jonathan.

If the confidential information was exposed, it could lead to Losses exceeding tens of millions. For businessmen, profit was important.

"Mr. Bates believes you," Brody said, raising an eyebrow. "This is a direct order from him. You need to follow through. Do you understand?"

Bethany was taken aback.

She had thought Jonathan might delegate this task to other senior members to avoid upsetting the Canbidge company. She knew he was aware that she wouldn't hold it against him.

Brody gave a helpless smile, stood up, and took a deep breath. “Mr. Bates taking a stand!"

"What?"

"By entrusting you with such sensitive information, he's demonstrating that Bates Group trusts you completely! This also gives you a chance to prove your innocence and show that you have the company's support."
