Chapter: 339
Brody knew Jonathan had more to discuss, and he waited patiently.
After a prolonged silence, Jonathan finally spoke.
“Haven't you uncovered anything about her?"
“No, still nothing, Brody replied, pursing his lips. "Should we continue the search?"
"Yes," Jonathan replied.
"Understood, Mr. Bates."
As Brody hung up, he released a weary sigh.
Despite years of relentless searching, they hadn't found Bethany. It seemed obvious she didn't want to be found.
Brody couldn't fathom why Jonathan wouldn't let go.
Over the past three years, countless women had shown interest in Jonathan-many stunningly beautiful, with figures and family ties that rivaled those of the Bates family. Yet, his indifference was palpable, sparking rumors he'd lost interest in women altogether.
Brody's gaze fell on the envelopes in his grip.
Since Jonathan deemed them trivial, Brody decided to not check them.
His recent visit to the Westsilver resort project had only required smoothing over a few lingering issues before they could break ground.
There was little need for him to delve deeper, as the project manager would not communicate with Bates Group.
His priority was to find Bethany. However, there was no trace of her.
With a sense of resignation, Brody picked up the phone to call yet another private detective agency overseas-the tenth on his List.
“Hello, I was recommended to you. I need help locating someone..."
At Wilshire Manor in Floria...
As Jonathan disembarked from the plane, the headline on the business section caught his eye-"CEO of Bates Group Announces Upcoming Wedding."
The entire front page buzzed with speculations about the bride's identity, stirring a frenzy in the corporate circles.
He didn't need a moment to guess why his parents had tricked him into traveling overseas. He knew all too well their intentions.
For years, they had been relentless in trying to set him up with Maddie.
And with every attempt, Jonathan found one more reason to say no.
As the car rolled through the gates of the manor, Francine stood by the villa's entrance, visibly agitated and seemingly poised for a confrontation.
